January 16th: Grants For Science Writers, Craftspeople & Biographical Authors
This is not the season to play small.
Hello, creators! Happy Martin Luther King Day.
January is overflowing with funding opportunities. Today’s newsletter features 42 awards.
Featured awards include grants for subscription-based businesses (#17), women entrepreneurs building women’s health technology (#19), small farms and sustainability projects (#24), science journalists (#25), feminist women in art (#26), authors who write about music (#29) and romance (#32), and more.
As a reminder, we commit to offering 20% of our biweekly newsletter to free newsletter subscribers, so browse through the first 9 opportunities. But there are 34 more with deadlines up until February 3rd. Support our work by joining Grants For Creators for $5 per month or $60 per year. You can also gift a subscription to a fellow creative or biz owner.
Also, last week, we launched the Latinx/a/o playlist, which includes (12) funding opportunities for Latinx/a/o creatives, founders, and small business owners.
We are working on a journalist playlist next (yay!!!) + an interview with a community member who has secured over $100,000 in funding for their podcast.

If you want to know what it takes to start, grow, and monetize a newsletter—check out the Growth Currency newsletter by Dylan Redekop. Get free weekly tips, insights, articles, and tools to help build and grow your newsletter faster and better.
Based on Dylan's recommendations, I'm reading about non-linear newsletter growth strategies this week and how one creator made close to $15K with two emails and a Google Doc - read here.
